Annapurna Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

Ghorepani poonhill trek is a short and sweet trek in Annapurna area (region). The trail is basically a loop around Ghandruk and Ghorepani and can be approached both ways beginning either in Phedi or Nayapul. If you would like to begin in Phedi you will trek to Landruk, cross the Modi River and on the way Kyumi to Landruk , and other point Nayapul. If you will start from Nayapul your trail will go through Syauli Bazar and Kitu and then way towards Ghandruk. Ghandruk village ist inhabited by Gurung, which is worth spending a day here. Visit the Gurung cultural museum in the village and enjoy fabulous views of Annapurna south peak. From Ghandruk you will be following a forested path to Tadapani then head west to Ghorepani.

Ghorepani poonhill is the most important view point in this trek as you will be able to see a magnificent panorama of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna peaks, and many super-nice peaks of the Himalayan of Nepal. It is also very sought of the view point to catch breath taking views of sunrise in a clean morning (you can have nice sunset view in the evening as well). At that time you will be able to see the colours of the sun in the mountain body. This place is the garden of the heaven when the very first rays of the early sun strike the mountains which begin to glow like gold.
